Expert Eyes

Tonight I learned a little lesson on how to really apply makeup. Carmindy, eat your heart out:

I think maybe she forgot that she has beautiful flawless skin, long eyelashes, and a subtle rouge to her cheeks already. I may be wrong, but I think this is THE BEST toddler in the makeup picture I have ever seen. Got a better one? Email it! I think maybe Mae West could take lessons from her as well. I thought it was a nice touch that she used my waterproof mascara and we had to use makeup wipes to get it off.

Eli surprised me with some real giggles tonight while playing with my mom. I caught the end of it on camera. As soon as he saw me he went serious. That's how he is when it's time to eat. What a loveit! He's growing to fast for me to keep up with him!

Northridge Tea Party and Other Happenings

The kids' school does a mother/daughter and daddy/son party every year. This year, we had a tea party in which "Miss Manners" came to give instructions on manners. We had lots of little things to eat and 'tea' made out of jello pudding mix. The girls had a great time, especially since Aunt Kristen came. (Me too. It's fun to have a sister to joke around with and be silly again.) (Scroll all the way down for the whole post.)

Also, we've been meaning to get pictures of Eli smiling for a while now. Isn't he handsome? He's wearing what we have come to call his brown sack. (It's the baby snuggie, Carly.) He tugs my heartstrings whenever he smiles.

During sacrament meeting a few weeks ago, the speaker invited all of the 4 year-olds up to receive a donut. He then told them if they saved it until the end of church, they could have a whole box of donuts to take home. (He spoke on Pres. Uctdorf's conference talk.) All of the kids kept their donuts. He let them choose between a box of donuts, twinkies, or hostess cupcakes. I am glad he made the right decision.
