My New Blog

I LOVE hand-me-downs. (As evidenced in a previous post entitled "Ode to Hand-me-Downs". I like that I get a shoppers high but I don't get buyers remorse. I like the looks on my girls faces when I pull out a big bag of new "acquisitions" for them. I like giving to my neighbors and seeing the outfits my kids wore resurrected which brings back memories. I decided to make a blog all about hand-me-downs. To visit my new blog click here and get rid of unwanted items and advertise for needed ones! Happy trading!

Promises

I was in the shower the other day when I realized that the tape I put up around the bathroom ceiling (prep for painting the ceiling) has been there for over two years! Sigh. I looked around and realized that the stuff I did paint needs touch up and the ceilings are pinker than ever. The kitchen cabinets are halfway done but I have to completely sand them down and start again because I used the wrong kind of paint. Pursuant to these realizations, I have decided:

I solemnly promise that I will NEVER move into a new home until I have COMPLETELY painted EVERYTHING that needs painting EXACTLY the way I want it. So there! Don't try to stop me, I've learned my lesson and will not make the same mistake again.

Dear Aunt Amy,

Oh my Aunt Amy,

I wanted to call you today but Mommy said I'm too young to use the phone. So I had her record me telling you what's what and now I'm sending it to you. I'm freaking cute, I know. Try to contain yourself. Mommy says I've been shouting at things, especially at my own reflection. I sometimes object, and I let people know. See you soon,

Love Natalie

P.S. Liam is crying in the background. I didn't do it. Mommy took care of him and he is okay.

My Long Over Due Christmas Post

My favorite snapshot of the day:

We had a wonderfully relaxed Christmas day. (Ben was up until 4 a.m. Christmas Eve) We had a nice breakfast made by Jason- he makes the best eggs-and spent the afternoon at my parents' house. The kids had a great time and I think one of the best highlights was their excitement in the gifts they gave each other.

I'm so grateful to have time every year to settle down a remember my Savior and His life and atonement. We feel very blessed and loved and appreciate all of the help and support through the Christmas season and see our Heavenly Father's hand in it.
